A reputable organisation with a prominent industry presence requires a qualified Accountant to take the lead role in ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of all internal systems and controls.

You will establish your own role, taking responsibilities from audit staff in other company divisions and setting in place your own working procedures as the first Internal Audit Manager for a specific subsidiary. Reporting directly to Executive level, you will take a lead role in hiring and training more junior audit staff.

Overview of the role:

• Ensure the effective and efficient planning and completion of internal audits
• Production of annual audit plan and carry out audits in accordance with agreed audit procedures
• Meet management at all levels and Group Audit committee(s) where required to discuss audit plans, results and recommendations
• Management of other administrative responsibilities with regards to the internal audit function
• Assist with special assignments as prescribed by the Group Audit Committee or Managing Director.
• Make recommendations and implement suitable processes and procedures for the internal audit function.
• Recruit and develp staff.
