One of the biggest global tax service firms in the world are looking for a Tax Technology Consultant to join their rapidly expanding VAT Technology Team based in London. This is a great opportunity to be exposed to a large multinational client base which boasts Global 5000 & Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will ideally be from an IT background or an accountancy background with a focus on indirect taxation / VAT.

About the role

• Aid with the implementation, testing and maintenance of software based upon technical design specifications
• Preparation of custom systems based upon the functional requirements of the client and subsequent review of said system
• Research new software development tools & aid in architectural and coding reviews
• Assist with the development of new process designs for tax determination
• Installation & implementation of tax automation software solutions

• Supporting customers with both technical support

About you

• Ideally you'll hold a relevant degree with a 2:1 or above
• Working knowledge & experience using tax softwares and ERP systems (e.g. OneSource, Vertex, Taxware, Oracle, SAP) is essential
• Experience prioritising a large workload
• Strong communication & written skills with a proven ability to problem solve
• Previous experience within an accountancy or IT environment essential
• Full UK driving licence
