The role that we are recruiting to sits within the Strategic Procurement Team. This team provides direct localised support to our customers in Surrey County Council, providing expertise on tendering activity and contributing to the delivery of service objectives, savings and other benefits, including social value. We work closely with the Strategic Procurement Team in East Sussex County Council, sharing knowledge, expertise and resource to best service our customer’s needs.

The role requires you to provide support for a range of defined commercial, category and sourcing projects to secure the goods, works and services that most appropriately address the identified needs of our customers, residents and partners.

The Procurement Specialist role will also work closely with colleagues in the other functional teams that sit within Orbis Procurement, providing support for Category Strategy development and supply chain engagement. Cross-functional working and matrix management is key to how we function as a service.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
