A multi-award winning, start-up accountancy firm are looking for a Finance Manager to join their successful and growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified, experienced and commercially minded candidate who has a desire to work with an interesting, innovative client base of tech start-ups. Overseeing a team of 4-5 staff, you'll lead by example and show excellent time and people management alongside your technical ability.

Alongside this, you'll be helping to build successful, well known digital businesses across the world using the most up to date platforms and technology. Having just opened a brand new office in New York, this is an exciting time to join the go-to firm for start-up accounting solutions.

About the role

  • Overseeing the management of the early stage startup client portfolio, you'll have a robust technical knowledge of all aspects of accounting
  • Acting as a virtual CFO for clients, providing monthly management accounts
  • Providing VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax management
  • Preparation of annual and monthly statutory accounts
  • Oversee a mixed team of 4-5 studying/newly qualified accountants
  • Chairing team meetings and undertaking company secretarial duties
  • Onboarding of new clients and offering ongoing financial management support to businesses
  • Strong benefits package including 30 days holiday, pension scheme and 5-10% bonus scheme

About you

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with at least 3 years experience in an accountancy practice
  • Ideally be currently working in the big-4, although this is not essential
  • Confident with a range of IT packages including Xero and Excel
  • Able to lead and delegate work amongst a team and inspire junior staff
  • Some experience accounting for start ups would be seen as beneficial
  • Self-motivated and with a drive to succeed you'll be looking for promotion within 2 years
  • Excellent time management and communication skills are key
  • Strong technical ability alongside being a quick learner who can show their initiative
