A long established chartered accountancy firm are looking for a Tax Accountant to join their tax team in Wimbledon, SW19.

As most firms at this time of the year, they are very busy! The need to recruit this role though isn't a knee jerk reaction to meet the January 2020 deadline but with a view of strengthening the team meeting the demands of a growing client base and market presence.

The office is based in central Wimbledon, just a short walk from either the mainline Wimbledon train station or South Wimbledon tube (Northern line).

The role will play to your strengths whether your experience is more personal tax or corporate tax but here you'll enjoy a mixed tax role. The firm is passionate about professional development so there'll be plenty of opportunity to grow and develop your tax skills further.

Working as part of the tax team and under the guidance of the tax manager, the role will include:

• Preparing personal tax returns and corporation tax returns
• Assisting with the preparation of forms P11D
• Responding to day to day issues and queries from clients
• Dealing with correspondence from HMRC and clients
• Preparing rental income and expenditure accounts
• Assisting in various tax planning issues Completing research work for clients when necessary
• Providing advisory work to clients when requested

About you

• You may be qualified or continuing with your ATT or possibly CTA studies
• First class communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable in working to deadlines in a pressurised environment
• Ideally a mixed experience of personal and corporation tax
• Knowledge of Trusts and IHT would be advantageous

The salary advertised should be viewed as market rate with your expectations discussed on application.
