I am working closely with my client, a small but expanding company near Couldson, to recruit a permanent and full-time Accounts Payable Specialist.

Working within a friendly and sociable company, this role is to join a finance team of 4 and, though it is first and foremost Purchase Ledger focussed, the opportunity to become involved with General Ledger will present itself.

You will be replacing the current Purchase Ledger Clerk who's been with the company for a number of years and some of your duties will be:

• Batching, matching and coding of invoices
• High volume inputting and processing of invoices, circa 1,000 on a monthly basis
• Reconciling of Purchase Ledger
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Processing of expenses

The ideal candidate WILL:

• Have high volume Purchase Ledger experience (used to dealing with circa 1,000 invoices monthly)
• Have good experience of systems (ideally Sage 50 or similar)
• Have general knowledge of accounting/ bookkeeping principles- ie. double-entry (Desired but not essential)
• Be comfortable within a small finance team/ office environment
