The Department of Engineering is delighted to be able to offer a new post at the Lecturer level in either Mechanical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering. We are a comparatively new department having been founded in 2016, so this is a great opportunity to help shape the future of our Engineering provision. We currently offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including a substantial Degree Apprenticeship provision, that are recognised for their academic quality, innovation and close ties to the industries in which our graduates will work. We aim to ensure that we equip our graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of technical knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills and professional practices.

Engineering is based at our Bognor Regis Campus in the new 6000 m2 Tech Park opened in October 2018.

We are particularly looking for applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas, ideally within an engineering / technology or industrial context, although all outstanding applicants will be considered:

Communications; Dynamics & Vibration; Manufacturing Systems and Processes; Materials Engineering

A Doctorate degree combined with a good research track record is desirable and you will be expected to either continue with an established research topic compatible with the Department’s interests or establish a new research area in collaboration with Department and University colleagues. Our research inspires, and feeds directly into, our teaching programmes, ensuring that all of our students benefit from exposure to the latest developments in research.
