Role Summary

The Care Centre Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Cheshunt Care Centre, ensuring it runs efficiently, meets performance expectations, and delivers an exceptional level of service to customers. This includes managing the centre in line with Standard Operating Procedures and agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leading the team to consistently achieve these targets. The role also holds full people management responsibility for the Care Centre team, supporting their development and ensuring a positive, high-performing work environment. A key part of the role involves ensuring customers’ orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and with the flexibility to meet individual needs

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct monthly 1-2-1 meetings and annual appraisals for staff development.
  • Assist in staff training and development, providing hands-on, on-the-job training.
  • Manage staff issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, and capabilities, following HR procedures and practices.
  • Oversee recruitment of staff as required.
  • Pick, check, pack, and dispatch client orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Template pouches according to client requirements.
  • Hand cut pouches and flanges as needed.
  • Manage ordering of packing materials.
  • Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring proper stock levels.
  • Restock shelves and ensure inventory is well-organised.
  • Check delivery notes and orders against received goods.
  • Complete quarterly stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to Company Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organised workspace.
  • Attend annual conferences, training sessions, and management meetings as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ensure services are delivered in compliance with current legislation, NHS guidelines, and Company policies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve services for healthcare professionals and mutual clients.
  • Promote the company’s values by delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate the Fittleworth’s Values in all aspects of the business.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your department manager or the company director team in their absence.

Experience
  • Proven people management skills, with experience leading and developing teams.
  • Supply chain experience (desirable).
  • Warehouse experience (preferable but not compulsory).
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and act on reports and KPIs.
